I went to look at a parts car today, looks like a 9 inch rear, I thought they only came with big blocks? Car is original 77,000 miles with a 302 and a C-4. It just dont make sense to me. Anybody know anything on this one?
It's too wide and it's got a 4 link suspension and coils where the Stang's had leaf springs. The bare housing isn't worth much, I wouldn't pay more than $25 for one and I've got two cluttering up my shop now.
I've had three like the one you're asking about, one in a 68 Merc Monterey (same car as the Galaxie) and two Galaxies I parted out. All had 9" rears with 2.75 ratio open differentials.
