Would a motor and trans. from a '90 LSC just "bolt up" in a '68 Fastback or are there a lot of modifications needed? Also, is it a nightmare to try and hookup the fuel injection and computer and all or is it better and easier to just change out the manifold and put on a carb? Thanks.

if you start with a donor car, then the swap becomes pretty easy, just swap over everything from the wiring harness to the trans. the engine is a bolt in, the trans mount however needs changing as does the crossmember, windsor-fox caries the crossmember you need. one of the hard parts about swapping efi into a car that didnt have it originally is getting the high pressure fuel pump settup. later efi cars had the high pressure pump in the tank, and the early cars have no provision for one. you can modify your stock sending unit to accept the high pressure pump though as it is not that hard to do. just follow what the factory did on the late model car. you also have to install a return line. personally i prefer carbs to efi for the most part, but there are times when efi can be a good thing.

If your looking to do the whole EFI swap, just do a search for "EFI SWAP" or "EFI" there are many very recent posts about the EFI swap.
