sounds steep to me, but it's more a question of what it's worth to you. Now, if it's a cobra r, get it yesterday.

I can't say for sure if $14K is "too much, just right, or a steal" for that '93 snake...

Those 93s do hold their value well due to their "collectibility" - especially from a historical standpoint. They were the only "fox body" cobra and are highly desirable.

If it's a clean one owner car and the guy has all the records/history on it, then obviously the right buyer will be wiling to pay a premium for those types of intangibles.

I would do some research first and look at some of the recent sales of other 93 snakes out there on the major mustang message board classified sections and compare what they sold for...

FWIW - Moving this over to "SVT Talk" instead...

I think it's a little high. Times are tough for a lot of people right now, he can ask all he wants, but what he gets is a different story. If it was like 5-10 years ago, he could have got that all day. Maybe 5-10 years from now he could, who knows. I'd say offer him 12 if you really want it.

What all colors did the original SVTs come in? I thought it was only that greenish-blue color but I'm not sure. Btw, same question for the 93 R? I'm thinkin' they only came in red and had unique styled wheels. Something like chrome and black, iirc.

The 93 snakes were available in black, teal, and red...

The 93 R was only available in red.

Cobras are challenging to appraise. With spring coming I expect it to be a seller's market for a while.

They seem to be hovering between $8-$12k on average from what I've seen over the years.
