Hey ya'll, I've got some weird stuff going on in my 'vert lately, and I'm kind of at a loss. 3 issues so far.

Issue #1. I rebuilt the quarter windows, including new motor on drivers side. all was well for weeks then a few days ago it stopped wanting to go up, but after turning all other electrics off, and running the motor a few, it will go up.

Issue #2 Since I got the car the passenger side window switch won't operate the window. The drivers side master switch will, so the motor is good. I put a new switch on the passenger side, no joy. I did a continuity test from the switch to the motor and all was well. Yet it still doesn't work. wth??? tested the switch too and it works...so now what???

Issue #3 and just happened today. Convertible top just clicks at the relay to go down...will come up just fine. bad relay? motor dying?

would love some advice on one or all 3 of these issues.
thanks guys.

I too recently rebuilt my 1/4 windows with new gear drives, lubed up the rods and they work great. Not sure about the electrical gremlins with your windows.I too for a while had an issue with my top motor relay clicking intermittently..then sometimes the top would work fine.I replaced the motor and it did the same thing..I rapped on the motor a few times with a wrench n voila' it worked! Think the culprit is a bad relay/wiring as I REPLACED MY RELAY AND THE PROBLEM CEASED.

thanks Cobra...I have the top manual, and it could be a bad relay. I have a 130 amp alternator on order, should be here Monday, so I'm kinda hoping more juice might help all 3 issues. If not, I'll put in new relays and see what happens. Really hate electrical issues. Not a clue what to do about the passenger window though...
