What up peoples? I recently got a new (junkyard) trunk lid for my 98 GT and it does not have the holes drilled for a spoiler. Before I get it painted, I would like to know what you all think about going wing-less?

If any of you are wingless 94-98 post some pics please. :SNSign:

It looks sick on a lowered car with fat tires out back.

with a common ride height and look it will appear like a damn V6, there are a few at my college that have it wingless and none really look very good, not to say you couldn't pull it off but it'd be easyer w/ a 99+

i like my car without the wing, i think it makes it look more sleek and more like a muscle car, i think the wing makes it look more modern

I dont like the 94-98 SN95s w/o a wing at all. Look sick with a cobra wing though.

Thanks for the replies. My car is lowered 1 1/2in. I used to (long time ago before my car rolled into a tree) had a S281 wing and it looked really good IMO. Then I put the stock one back on with a jacked up trunklid so finally I got a new trunklid.

It's just that I have to drill the holes before I have the new one painted and couldn't picture what it would look like if it were chrome yellow (my car color) and not red ... Thanks for posting some pics. I'm undecided .. I think the 99 - whatever year 03 (?) look really good with the 'spoiler delete' ... Keep posting pics if you got em'.

Im not a big fan of the 94-98 without wings. It gives the car a much less aggressive stance imo. 99-04 look alot better without wings just due to the slope of the decklid, it still has a nice raked look to it.

fellow rochestarian on the boards

I forgot to mention I had my wing off to see what the s281 wing would fit like and i really did not like the look wingless on my car. The back is too rounded and looked like it was missing something.

-1 on the wingless look. On our cars i say it makes the rear end look too narrow(as in the pics droptop posted, its hiding them).

i dunno, i just like big butts and i can not lie, you other brothers can't deny....

And those are my thoughts exactly on the wingless look.

Wingless looks good on 99-04 cars but imo not at all on 94-98 cars.
