94 Mustang Gt Fan Melting Cables?

My 94 mustang gt didn't have the stock wiring go the radiato fan it just has a relay and some wires going to it.its on the low speed right now and I I put it on high speed it melts the wires.

If its running directly to the battery that could cause the wire to overload. It should be ran off a fuse from the box under the dash or even possibly the hood. I seem to remember the same kinda problem and i found out because it was ran right off the battery.

If its running off of the battery, the previous owner probably bypassed the CCRM because the cooling fan relay went out.

You'll need to replace the ccrm, restore the factory wiring and maybe install the circuit breaker from ford.

Iirc, some early model 94 gt/v6 had a problem with seized fans causing fires.
I think there's a TSB for it, try a google search.
