95 gt possible short?

Would something like this cause the fuel pump not to prime would that be enough to cause a short ? If so do I need a new harness or can it be fixed?

If that were touching metal it would cause a short, but since it's not it wouldn't. Though depending on how broken it is, it could cause on open circuit causing something not to work. That could easily be fixed with some solder and heat-shrink tubing.

Gotta agree with the answer above. If the wire isn't torn all the way just use some heat shrinking tubing. Can you not hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the key to accesories?

Yea that’s the issue I’m having I can’t get the fuel pump to prime

Have you checked the inirtia switch in the trunk? and fuses?

I believe Chris Fix has a video of what to check for on youtube regarding no start up and no fuel pump being heard.
