Just picked up a BBQ'd 95 5.0 5sp (small engine fire) and i'm kinda new to fords so looking for some info.

1. what is the official break-down on wiring, it appears there's an engine harness, a main harness that runs along the drivers side inner fender which includes the fuse box then runs along the front, a CPU harness that comes from the interior up into the corner of the engine compartment where the engine harness hooks in and transmission harness then goes along the inner passenger side fender where it hooks into the main harness... and lastly the transmission harness that hooks into the CPU harness and rides along the cowl then down to the tranny.... does that pretty much sum up all the harnesses in the engine compartment?

If it does... what is the year break-down? It seems on ebay some list the main harness applying to 94 to like 98 or newer... what about the engine harness and transmission harness? What about the CPU harness?

Will harnesses off of V6s work? Supposedly the main harness will (again ebay listings) obviously the engine harness won't, but what about the CPU harness and transmission harness (assuming 5 spd)?

Is the CPU or engine harness effected by transmission (will an auto harness be the same?)

2. I was told the 94-95 mustang intake is really a 91 T-bird intake. I found a 93 T-bird in a JY today and it appeared to be the same so I took the upper plenum, the throttle body looked different (mainly the throttle bracket) is there any other sources for the throttle body?

3. is there a way to replace the rubber lines interconnecting the two fuel rails or must you replace the whole rail assembly, is it available from the dealer still?

Just trying to put this thing back together and make a decent driver out of it

Go to carbed. Wire in a universal wiring harness.

My car is registered in Oklahoma. No smog. I'm going to run side exhaust as well.

I wouldn't imagine that many people have messed with the factory harnesses. It's one of those things you don't touch unless there is a huge problem.

Try picking up a haynes repair manual for it. You should find most if not all of your wiring questions in there.

Sorry for the delay...but I am here to help! I can't believe that no one else has chimed in with any help! I've taken engines in and out of these cars so many times I should be a wiring expert for these cars.

Don't go carbed! That's no fun!

I actually have a complete wiring harness for that exact car (95 5.0 speed) and have some experience with the wiring on these. I have the harness starting from the computer and going to the engine (and I think I have the transmission too). They were pulled from a wrecked car and none of the wiring was damaged. I would like to sell it if interested, just PM me. I also have all the wiring diagrams for this car on a CD ROM which should help you in your project. I hope you are good with wiring and reading diagrams!

You want either a 94 or 95 engine harness....96+ will not work; whole nother animal! V6 harness won't do much good either, has to be for the 5.0L. You can get away with the auto harness for the engine but you will have to get a manual harness to go from the split to the tranny.

I'm not sure about the intake from the T-bird.....did the original one get burnt up too?

I didn't think those fuel lines were rubber connecting the two? I'll have to look at mine! You might check with the dealer on that otherwise just go to a junkyard and/or check on the classifieds/Ebay for a whole new rail (shouldn't be too expensive as a lot of guys upgrade rails).

Yes, stock injectors are 19lb....and I have a set of those if you need those too.

i'm shocked what a total turn-around , not only does this man have the answers i'm seeking he has the parts as well!

THANK YOU, I vote this man moderator! :SNSign:

yes i'd be interested in the wiring harness(s)

thus far I have a local guy parting out a V6 that can get me the main harness (one with the fuse box) and possibly the CPU harness minus of course the engine since it's a v6. But are you saying the CPU harness is different for a V8? If so what would make it different?

I also have a line on a V8 engine harness and TB but so far he's been pretty flakey.

e-mail or PM me with details and prices .
