I recently bought a 1990 fox body with 5.0 and a T5 transmission. The transmission was bad so I bought a T5 out of a 96 3.8 Mustang. I went to bolt it up and nothing wouldn’t work so please help.
Why can't one use a 3.8 bellhousing? 3/4" deeper-but moving the shifter back 3/4" isn't going to be too much. Will require a cut down drive shaft though. Is the 94-95 T5 5.0 bellhousing the same depth as the 3.8?
Also does the '96 still have a speedometer gear on the shaft or are they electronic speedo?
