It seems that the 96-98 Cobras are the bastard child of all the cobras. When searching for upgrade parts, the pickins are slim. Why is that?

I don't think the aftermarket for any 4v cobra is really that great. Cylinder heads we only have ford available, and few companies make cams and intake manifolds. What were you looking for anyways? There isn't a part of my 96 cobra that I couldn't modify.

They might be kinda like the bastard child of all the Cobra's, but they are the sexiest!!!! Didnt seem like the aftermarket had very many parts for them when I had my old 97 though....

I miss her sexy @$$!!!

Heads, cams, intake, exhaust? pick it???

not much out there for the 4V Cobra or Mach 1 the focus seems to be on the 5.0 and now the 3V stangs

+1....It pisses me off that when the 3V came out, the whole aftermarket jumped on the bandwagon, but it took years for a good amount of 2V & 4V aftermarket parts

I know there ARE aftermarket parts for them but not nearly as many choices as for the 3V and 2V. It was just an observation.

Plenty of aftermarket available for the Terminators.

To what degree though. I know everyone and their mom makes a blower pulley, cai, and exhaust for 03-04 cobras. Besides that what else is out there for your 4.6 4v engine wise. Maybe I was spoiled with my 5.0s having such a huge selection of cylinder heads, intake manifolds, cams, ect...
