Chrysler guy for 30 years. Making a venture to FOMOCO. I came across a 4.6 Cobra motor while looking at some Mopar race parts. I am looking for a way to boost the 4.6 in my '09 Merc Marquis. Thought that the Cobra swap would be easy for a 1st stab at Blue Oval. The motor has "40K" and price seems right at $1,500.00. No computer and I have not had any success tracking down a Sniper or aftermarket alternate that will fit. Any help?

Which 4.6 cobra motor? There is a huge difference between them. 96-98, 00/01, and 03-04 are all hugely different animals.

Judging by the price it's likely not an 03/04. Still matters. Got pics or more info?


EDIT - I failed to read AND comprehend the title.

When I started asking questions nothing made any sense. I think it is a 4.6 2V with Cobra valve covers place on top of the motor.
