Do the 1996-1998 mustang gt 4.6s come with a T45 tranny stock? If not, what do they come with. I am planning on converting my 4.6 to a 5speed and i just want to know additional information about the trannys. Thanks for your time.

I beg to differ my newbie friend....the AODE is specific to the 5.0L in the SN95 V8 Mustangs. The 4R70W is a mod motor only transmission.sanitarium16 said:1998 is when the 4r70w 4-speed automatic made its debut in the mustang. 1996 and 1997 have AODE.
