RazorsStang said:I swapped a 98 Rear axle into a 00 a couple years ago, very straightforward and easy bolt on. If you're willing to waste a whole day doing it that is. The bolt sizes are different, just use your existing control arms and bushings with the new housing, everything fits e-z.
I did my swap to switch out a 7.5 with an 8.8. I think doing it only to make your tires stick out the fenders is a little crunch on the wallet. The spacer idea is a much better approach imho. Besides, there are enough Stangs on the streets looking like they were assembled south of the border. Do you want to join in on the Mexi-Stang bandwagon? Lowrider GT? Please don't put in blinging 100 spoke rims!
