One guy who have same color like mine Stang have for sale 96' Cobra hood with white Pearl stripes and Cobra ghost on front of stripes , that guy bought some "stocker" or whatever is cool for some hood and now he try get $100 for his stock hood
There is two problems , one is pearls, because if I get this hood I have to paint white pearl stripes on mone front ,rear bumper and trink-spoiler(wing) but that pearl paint is too expensive
Second is clearance because I have plan to get 1" intake spacer for mine Cobra intake
So what you think guys
I forget to tell you guys that hood is in perfect condition

Why not just repaint the hood all red instead??? I know some people are running aftermarket intakes with either a 3/4" or 1" spacer under the stock hood, just without the liner. I say go for it... Shouldnt cost too much to paint. Maybe if you get it preped and ready for paint to be sprayed on it'll only cost a little bit?

I think you should go for it. $100 is cheap for a 96+ Cobra hood that is in "perfect" condition. Clearance should be ok because of the bulge that the cobra hood has right over the intake.

Ernie, I don't know if you have a Strut tower brace on your car or not but... I had to cut a notch in my cobra hood to make it shut properly (I have only a 3/8" spacer between the upper and lower, not 1"). With out the brace the hood closed properly.

100.00 for a cobra hood is a deal IMO. It took me 6 months to find the one I have. I paid 100.00 for it too.

riffraff I saw your car in last issues MM&FF , nice man
About hood and Strut tower brace , I have no strut toewr brace because I installed Cobra intake and my stock (GT) STB doesn't work any more , BUT this guy have 96-98 STB for sale $40 and its painted too in same color like mine and his Cobra
One more thing about hood , do I have to use 1996-98 Hood Latch Assembly or can I use mine , because 94-95 GT have different Hood Latch Assembly than 94-98 Cobra and 96-98 GT?????

riffraff do you have pics of your hood from insade so I can see what you cut to make it shut properly

First thing, Chuck the brace. It don't do much good going strait anyway. Second, I bought a 97 Cobra hood for my 95 Mustang and prepped it. I had some fiberglass work to be done and took it to a prmo paint shop for paint. Turned out PUrrrrrrfect. Still cost me a few dimes to get the paint nice and I even brought my own paint! The latches are the same by the way, no probs here.

Well, $100 is a deal. If anything, buy it and sell it on ebay and make $200-$250 on it.
