hey everyone awsome site i always come on here and finally registered i am the owner of an 85 gt and a 96 my question is about my 96 my electric fanis not working .. and sometimes it over heats if i let it idle for a while or in stop and go traffic.. whats causing this? some sort of sensor... the car also missing sometimes at high rpms...the olny mods i currently have is an on road x pipe with flowmasters and turndowns wich was on the car wen i bought it is there any way of telling what ones they are? 2chambers or 3? it idles prettty quietly i think.. but wen i get on it its loud!i was also thinking about cutting the cats out... think i would notice any gains from this?
the car also has a boss wing..i might take it off and go wingless.. ive never seen these wings before...any idea if i would be able to get rid if it easy? or how much i could sell it for but the reason i was writing this is my car has cobra emblems on it and i want to take them off ..thre are holes under the emblems on the fender wich seems stupid.. but how do i get the grillone off!! it seems as if there are two like bolts? on each side .. but you cant get to them .liekstar shaped with a thing in the middle.. does anyone now hat im talking about...well sorry for the long post...thanks for the help..

You need a T-20 tamper proof star bit to remove the grill emblem. You'll also need that bit to remove your MAF sensor.

It sounds like you don't have a thermostat in or if it is, it's stuck open. Have you tried flushing your radiator? Have you turned on your a.c. and looked to see if your fan is working? If not, check your fuses and relays to make sure the fan one isn't bad. Just some thoughts to help you narrow down the problem

Removing the cats will give some gain, but don't expect miracles. You'll need MIL eliminators to keep the MIL from tripping because of no cats.
