Well if you have no power windows, a/c, wing, 16inch wheels, cloth seats on it you have yourself a GTS.

I have no power windows, no power door locks, I have A/C, I have a wing, I have 16 inch wheels, and I have cloth seats, I have no ABS either. I'm not the original owner of the car so I dont know if some of this stuff was added or taken away. I heard there was some way I could check if it was a GTS or not through the VIN #?

Correct, the GTS was only offered in 1995.

However the 248A option was available up until 1998 (I believe) and was basically the same thing as the GTS package.

Sick96Stang...do you have V-6 seats? If you have V-6 seats you definetly have a 248A car.

Whats the difference between v6 seats and GT seats I have a picture of my interior. Cant really see the seats all that well, I can take another picture if that doesnt show them well enough.

Good Stuff, to bad its just an appearance package and not really any engine extras. I think with the lack of the power windows, door locks though it makes a bit more power, IDK from what I have seen most cars with mods around mine dont dyno at 284 RWTQ. Is 284 RWTQ normally for a car like mine with my mods? What is the difference between the v6 seats and the GT seats?

What makes the car weight less than the regular GT's I looked at that site but not sure what exactly makes it weight less other than no power windows, door locks? Anybody know where I can find the production number of 96's with the 248A package?

Try Brad Barnett's site www.themustangsource.com

That's where I first learned about the GTS

Your seats definetly look different than mine. Mine have more of a recaro look to them. they wrap around your hips and you back more. i didn't even know there was a different package that existed.

In my opinion, keep the wing, our cars wingless look like crapola.

That option (originally the GTS, was a way to get the V8 with no extras, which IMO is the best upgrade you can make, plus they were a lot less expensive than the "GTs" of the same year.
