I was just looking around today and found a 1998 red cobra for sale for $12,500. It is stock and has 56,000 miles on her. Now would you guys trade a 01 automatic GT with 75,000 miles for the 98 Cobra?

Stupid question. Do you have to blow him too? Give him your first born? I like your car and all but you know my 96 coulda beat the crap out of it. A 98 with under 60K on it? If shes in good shape in and out and doesnt have a head tick I would not even hesitate, the deal would be done. Even if it had the head tick id think about it over a Happy Meal then go do it anyway.

I think $12,500 is a little high. But even trade? Yeah i'd do it.

Auto vs 5-spd. Nuff said

Yeah if he would do an even trade I would say no questions asked I will pick it up. Its the same color as my car now so that's a plus and it looks extra clean.

Emaild the place that has the 1998 and also I found a white 97 cobra with 68,000 on her. I also emaild that place. Kelly blue book puts the 97 at 10k and the 98 at 11k for used prices from a dealer. Kelly Blue book says a dealer would sell an 01 Gt automatic for the same price as the 97 cobra would go for. So we will see what happens. I may be an owner of a cobra in the next week or so.

It's a dealer?

They won't trade. They gotta make a buck on it somehow off you. They can sell a Cobra a lot easier than a GT

Yeah it's a used car dealer. I could give them 2,000k for it plus trade. That would be how much it would probably cost me to get my car up to the stock cobra specs.

Most i'd do is $1K tops.

The Cobra should be a $9500-10,500 car. Depending on the dealer, he's gonna quote you wholesale period. When i was going to trade my '03 with 55K miles on it...they were gonna give me $7500. I got em up to 8500 but ended up walking out.

Cobra's are nice and all...but i wouldn't dump your car out cheap and fork over more money for an older car

Now remember what Mike said. That meens there is a 90% chance that they bought it for wholesale book or under, we used to deduct for every little nick and scratch. They might take the trade and a grand cause they will prolly make 2K off that transaction and make the other 3k when they sell you old one

The guy with the 97 got back to me and said he would not take a trade in because he had a 02 GT and says the cobra is alot better. Then he is like I will take your best offer for the cobra. I'm still waiting for the dealer with the 98 to get back to me. If they won't take a trade and a $1000 then no deal, I will just continue to mod my current car.
