98 GT Hybrid return style fuel system?

do 98 gt, 2v have a return or returnless fuel system? what is different about it from 97 or 99? a 98 2v can not use the same fuel pressure regulator that a 97 back to 94 can. why? what is the difference?I was told in another thread it was a hybrid system??????

not hybrid, it's a return style system like the 96-97. But the furl rails are different, you cannot change the FPR on a 98 (exept very early models) but swapping in 96-97 rails is very easy.. Also the fuel pump bucket is slightly different, and a little wiring. It's not a huge deal, some people have dropped the 98 tank for a 96-97 so they could use a wider variety of fuel pumps without modifieing the tank.
