Would it be silly of me to ask if you had checked for oil leaks? Like say around your oil filter. If you say your compression is good, then the only other thing I can think of that would make it burn THAT much oil, would be your main bearings. You'll see little puffs of blue smoke if your valve seals are done, but but it sure wouldn't go through that much oil without some very serious issues.

yep i have checked for oil leaks there are none to be found I even let it set over a big flat piece of cardboard 3 nights in a row and there is nothing I have even gotten under the car and yet no signs of leaks anywhere. when i did the compression check all my plugs looked like they did when i put them in no oiling fouling or nothing. I talked to a few prostreet race guys last night at the track and they said more than likely its my valve guides or seals. I dont know what is going on but its pissing me off so I am gonna order a set of PI heads and hopefully that stops it and if it doesnt then I am screwed.

Thats the exact symptoms of bad valve guides. Thats what your problem is. Like said, perfect time for a PI swap. I didnt see it, so how many miles are on the motor?

That was my first thought, but he said that in a week and a half there was no oil on the dipstick. That's waaay too much oil consumption for just having worn valve guides. I'd suggest finding a complete PI engine, it's easier to do than the PI headswap and may save alot of grief.

Mine did the same thing. It was the valve seals, so i replaced them. Along with the heads, intake, cams, and headers.

Your's would be so low as to not be showing on the dipstick in only a week and a half of driving?

No. I would add about a qt. a month until i got all the parts for headswap. Sounds like you have some serious valvetrain issues.

got pi cams with the heads? Also, you may have to get valve covers if they are Windsor heads. Your Romeo covers won't work. Better check that before you get started

yeah i got the pi cams too. and i got confused about which years had what version heads and ended up buying a set of windsor heads so now i have to spend another $160 on stupid cam covers which is bull***** i think. i dont see why they cost so much. But oh well thats life.

Less caps lock and more starting your own thread, instead of reviving 6 year old ones.

Oh, and I agree, it sounds like a head gasket.
