i had a problem like this in my 98 , it ended up being my oil cooler adapter was shot it would only leak only until it warmed up, and would get on my exhaust and smoke, it would empty a quart on every cold start

I hate to hi-jack an old thread, but that has already been done, so...

if its over 100-130K on that engine I would look for a lower mileage PI engine to swap in there .......IMO......

I was thinking of doing this to my 96 this winter, as it is getting a bit tired. Is there an ideal model / year vehicle for a donor engine? Haven't done any searching on this yet, cause im still in the "You got to save up!" stage of this project.
