So my question is where can I buy 98 Saleen wheels for my car?? What sizes did they come in, i know they came in chrome or silver?? Also didn't they make some magnesium ones?? And also which ones would have most likely came on my car???

You can't buy them new anymore. Ebay has some nice examples now and then.

Your options.

Original Speedline aluminum Saleen wheels commonly known as the "Le Mans" wheel 94-98.

8.5's all around with specific rear offset
10" rear wheel option also.

Saleen also distributed an almost idential knock off with the exception of the amount of dish to the face ( maybe Robert will post the side by side pic ) made in China. That wheel says Saleen on it but not Speedline.

The Speedline magnesium wheels should have come on your car and they are the same general specs 8.5's and 10" rears. Harder to come by and more money. All of these wheels are NLA and no one I know at the moment makes a knock off unlike the 99-04 wheels.

Sorry, but the picture is on my phone and not only do I not have the ability to transfer it onto my computer, its a very poor quality picture

Marcus is correct about the options you have, except for one!! Not only did Saleen distribute knock off Le Mans style wheels, they also did Magnesium style knock off wheels. Instead of reading 18" Speedline Magnesium along the outside lip, it just has Saleen stamped on them....... I actually haven't seen a real live set in person however seen a few different pictures of them and have talked to Mark @ PAS about them..... So you now have four choices Good luck.....

So I just bought a set and a spare off ebay, chrome leman wheels, and they have saleen stamped on them. Does this mean that they are knock offs? Does anyone know the offsets on these, 18 x 8.5 (3 fronts and 2 rears.)

....its pretty easy to tell what variety of Saleen wheels you just bought, check out the stamps on the backside of the spokes. It will tell you production year and your offsets. Let us know what they say and we can help you out from there......or you can post a few up close pictures, that will work too.......

I looked at them and the set I bought do say speedline and saleen stamped on them but the spare I bought only say saleen. The set needs to be rechromed but I found 2 I could read with a 18 x 8.5 10mm and 18 x 8.5 30mm.

what number saleen do you have ? it may say in the book here if it had the wheel and tire upgrade.. i guess if it did have the upgrade it'd be 8.5" up front and 10" out back... if not its 8.5" all round..

I don't know off the top of my head, my car isn't here.. But if you look it up in the book it's the only Black coupe Saleen Cobra made in 98... maybe you can tell the number if you have it.. I know that it's on my car, but like I said my car isn't here..

Yea I know, but the thing is that it was my dads, and I never really payed to much attention to the number. Then I signed my paperwork in USCG and my dad signed it over to me.. And the car has been gone since September/ October.. getting worked on in Arizona. So now the car is mine but since I don't know the number I'm screwed. But when I get it back I guess I'll have to check. But I leave the 23rd for Bootcamp which is 2 months so yea I won't know until then..

Finding these wheels will drive you crazy!!!! Look at me, I'm proof. The last two I bought only say "SALEEN", but are marked on the back "Made in USA" So is that a 3rd kind? Speedline, Made in China, Made in USA?

ive had a good look through the registry and the 98 section of the book dude, and i cant spot your car in there.. they're not listed by colour or anything so its real difficult to tell which is which without the number or vin

Well i know that after the end of the number there in a letter like B- black, W- white, and so on. So maybe.. I don't know though And also the Saleen Cobra's are marked with a C in the serial number...

I've never actually seen the saleen book. None of the book stores around here have it, and I don't know anyone with one. I have a copy of my Saleen window sticker so I assume there's nothing in the book that would gain me any knowledge over what's on that? My car is 98-130

all it says on yours dude is "hood, 3.55, 2 Pt Cbrace, twin pod, Fleather"

and as for yours 98 cobra dude, i still cant see it in the book ? maybe im not looking right ?

i had another look through, and anything with a B after it, like the for example, if there was a #98-015B that would have been a budget-rent-a-racer... and the book only has the last 3 vin digits in it, so i cant even decode them and work from that

no cobras would end with B in 98....all budget vehicles are GT converts...10 of them.
