98 shaker intake?

Is it possible to get a shaker intake and hood for a 98 GT? I would like to do this because It would give more horses than just a CAI correct? Plus i like to be different and I havent seen one of these around.. Any info or links would be great.

With this, you dont get a new hood, you have to cut a whole in the existing hood?

Correct. Then you install that black plastic piece on the hood to clean it up a bit.

Too bad they don't have any pictures of it on a '98 style stang. I'd be interested to see what it looks like.

A lot of people complain about the applique. They say it looks good in pics but up close, not so much.

Also, it is for looks only. Horsepower gains will be minimal or non-existent until you hit warp 6.

When you say, "applique", do you mean that black stripe down the middle? Or is that just a "Boss" graphic?

That black thing down the middle. Its not a paint stripe. I believe it is a great big piece of crappy plastic...

Mmmm.... yeah.... I don't think I would want that on my hood. Here in Vegas it would probably melt.

The shaker does not look good on a 94-98, its a curvy car and the shaker is a big friggen square. They look good on 99+ because they're a little boxier.

On the other hand, if you want a different looking hood, the Cobra R cowls look pretty sweet. They even sell a cowl'd cobra hood!

I saw that hood I think cervinis makes it... Is the intake functional on that? cause that one looks sweet too.

they put one of those on joe's mustang on "Horsepower TV" looks fairly decent, I think his is a 96.

G... they are my Sponsor so my input may not be valid, but on my 03 the install took 30 minutes. An it sits good. Personally I would do all the cutting etc... and have a professional install the applique to seal it to the hood 100%. I've done this 2x now because I'm always experimenting and the one I installed myself set well but the new one sits perfect, people cant tell ists not part of the hood. CDC makes good stuff... Do I wish they made a custom hood Pre-05? Hell yeah! Do I wish the '05 setup (full hood and air box) was available for the pre-05s? Damn straight, but you can make it almost as good! Overall its a good deal and will set the car apart, especially if you have a 'vert.

Dude....! Thanks for the reminder of why I bought that crappy ATI TV tuner for my computer with still shots!
