i finally got freon into my A/C system and it blows cold air as it should. THis was yesturday. TOday on my way to work i noticed what looked like freon coming out of my air vents inside my car. does this mean that there is a leak, or what does this mean?

Was the system completely empty or just need to a partial charge?

The freon coming out of the vents - is it oily or appear like dry/frosty air?

Oily = poss evap core leak
dry = system blockage

Turn off the a/c for awhile. After sometime turn in back on. Does it blow cold at first then begin to blow frost out the vents? More info please.

Leaky Freon

Freons are colorless and mostly odorless gasses at room temperature. It is more likely that the AC-discharge thermoststat is not working and what you are seeking is frost and water condensation from the vent. If you do suspect a Freon leak ask the service mechanic to put a UV-fluorescing dye into the Freon. When the mechanic (or you) check it the next day, any leaks will be real obvious under a black-light. Good luck.
