99-04 gauges in our cars?

what does it take to use a 99-04 gauge cluster in our cars?

these guys make the gauges i want:

but they apparently only make them for 99-04 stangs, not pre-99

i was just lookin at that... just like tom said, he was special LOL

i want the gauge pod for the center but im not sure if thatll fit either... any help would be cool!

do you want the actual faces, the whole thing, or just the rings?

i want the rings alone--perhaps they'd be interested in doing a group buy?

Those are sweet.

Id definitely save up for a whole cluster if they made them.

i want the whole cluster. i'm gonna call them tomorrow. maybe they can give us an option, but is there a way to use 99+ gauges on our cars?

if they can't (won't) do anything for us, i guess i can go this route, with white face gauges and silver edging:

I believe you just swap a few wires in the plugs. Or I might be thinking of a '96-98.

96-98 is just a few wire swap


99+ would be a bitch IMO. it has PATS built into it which is fords passive anti theft system whitch does not allow the car to start without recieving a signal from the chip in the key. also has digital odometer with mileage stored in it.


to swap one in you would most likely need to use the 99+ ECU also with the wiring and i dont even know if the ECU could be tweaked enough to run the 5.0

better off with a gauge overlay and rings or the florida5.0 cluster

Sounds like it would be easier and maybe cheaper to just get a '99+. lol

The autometer/simco cluster looks great. I wish there was a way of putting it in cars w/o a digital cluster.

i just won this item:



so if i go with a 4 gauge setup from the florida people, and 2 more gauges on the sides, i think i'll be in good shape.

now ... what gauges?

i'm thinking: speedo, tach, fuel level, water temp, oil pressure, and battery voltage

thoughts?
