99-2004 GT catback on 98 GT?

Will this catback fit on my 98 GT? Cause I just recieved it and i know i ordered one for my car and it shows that i ordered it for my car but the instructions say its for a 99 and up GT so can I still use it? What would i have to change?

i was going to say yes .... cuz i think its just the hangers that not the same , but i cant rember...

it depends on the time of year they were made. early part of the production year had the 97 style hangers, the later part had the 99+ style. if it's the later part, you'll be fine

i dont know when I installed my SLP loudmouth catback it was for 98 gt and cobra's only so I am kinda worried about it. Should I take it to an exhuast shop and have them do it?

I never seen 96-97 hangers on 98-04 mustangs. Look under the tail-pipes and see how the hangers are.

well i got half of the exhuast system on and running. I got the flowtubes and mufflers on and attached to the muffler hangers and everything went in fine. Tommorrow I am gonna try to fit the rest of the piping and see if that works tommorrow.

i've had 2 different 98's & trust me they had them on some

if you want the VIN's, i guess i could call my old insurance company & get the 1st one i know i can get the 2nd one, cause i had it on this policy at one point

guys what do the exhaust hangers at the back of the 99 GTs look like the ones where the tips sit on? the hangers I have allow for a rod to go from front to back that way I can slide my tip out more or pull it in more. Thats what kinda mounts the tips I have with my bassani are, there they same setup as my SLP's were and they fit fine. Only thing i might have problems with now is the piping?

GOT IT!!! Bassani catback installed and running GREAT! this damn thing sounds so awesome with my O/r H pipe...Hell yeah no problems installing a 99-04GT catback on my 98 GT.

I was looking at the intake settlement and noticed the VINs on the list, my VIN (starting with IFAF) or any IFAF isn't on the list... maybe there's a link of changes with vin's.
