Helping me stay on track and not lose sight of my overall goal. Though I'm far from finished, I'm miles from where I use to be.

The day I brought her home

Problems

Problems

Problems

Did I mention problems?

A new look on the wheels

Losing coolant and a wandering Idle lead to this

So with a little patience and a many of these

It eventually turned into this

Her maiden voyage to the mall to pick up some new kicks

Again, thank you to everyone for keeping me on the right track and answering my questions. The Mods are, Cobra Intake/70mm BBK TB/BBK intake/GT40P heads sitting on a 306/BBK long tube headers mated to BBK x-pipe with flowmasters out back. Tremec 3550 with a steeda triax shifter, aluminum drive shaft and 3:08 rear end gears. Underdrive pulleys.

How does it run now? Nice to see you kept with it and finished the motor. A broken valve spring will give you some serious idle / performance issues, been there.

Runs good. Still needs timing set, a new fuel pump, new multifunction switch, tail light lenses, a supercharger.....etc. Still have the wandering idle but it goes away after warm up.

You're not the first to tell me that fiveoh.
I'm undecided on the gears Lars. It's mainly a street car and I have so many things I want/need to do to it. If I do it will be 3:55's but it would be way down on the list behind paint, supercharger, electric fan, upgraded alternator, etc....I recently rebuilt the clutch pack in the rear and have no desire to go back in for gears. I will let a shop do it if/when I decide.

Well if you plan to S/C it, you may/may not need the gears. You'd have to ask someone who's done it though.

Oh brother. The young bucks probably liked it better lowered too. But, my long tubes wouldn't clear the speed bumps in my neighborhood. Plus my back and butt are not as chipper as they use to be. Those cobras rode like hammered dog $h17.

+another on this. I'm sure I'll offend someone here, but I really dislike the new ones you have on it.

But on the other-hand, you've been doing some great work!

How can you not like the welds? It's like peanut butter and jelly. They are about 30 lbs lighter. More sidewall for a softer ride.

Welds are so 80's

Seriously though i like the welds better then the 4 lug cobras, but would prefer 5 lug cobras over the welds.

Btw not everyone likes pb&j, im a pb and honey man myself.

Good work keep it up. IMO would lose rear the center caps on the welds, but that's just me.
