Tim, I just wanted to thank you for letting us mustang folk's come down and eat your food, mess up your shop, screw off on your dyno, and meet lot's of people with metal object's protruding from various places.
It was awesome to see everybody.

I agree, I had a blast getting to meet a lot of people and getting my ear drums blown out by the white turbo civic when vtec kicked in.

I hope that you could do something like that again when it's a bit warmer out as it's a perfect place to do that in there was plenty of parking and not a lot of people around to piss off by fast, loud cars.

I would like to thank everyone who came out for our open house. Even though the weather was less than ideal, we had an incredible turnout. It was good seeing old friends again, and making some new ones. The guys from Boise (except Brett who took the easy way down) blasted through the snow to get here in a nice EVO8. I think they were the longest drive to get here, but I could be wrong. We really appreciate the support and hope to see all of you at various events this coming year.

We had originally planned to dyno 5 cars, but we were having some fun and ended up doing 11. The new dyno worked great, even though we did discover the optical pickup they sent us was faulty. However, the eddy current does work good for loading up the diesels/turbos to build boost similar to what they do on the street. We have completed a couple of winter projects, and wrapped up tuning them as the open house began. Patrick's Supra and Jeff G's Civic both ran well on their maiden voyages with new setups for 2006..

I am sorry to all, I had to cut Tim off from his nitrous in the air filter antics this year! LOL I was trying to preserve what is left of his poor, tired, beat to hell stock long block. So perhaps Tim could have used his "correction factor" to beat Patrick, instead of getting OWNED! :bigthumb: But wait, Patrick also has a few more tricks up his sleeve. I think this battle will continue.............

It looks like the domestics took the win at this dyno event. A little spray on Ray's stang would have put him right to the top. The 03 Viper SRT10 turbo still holds our top hp and torque. Looks like the imports better watch out! Perhaps having engines half the size is finally starting to be a handicap! :SNSign:

CRAAAAAAP. I completely forgot about the open house, I had planned on stopping by a while back. Combination of late night, no stangnet, friends, work around the house, play time, hot tub, and day dreaming of tomorrow all had my mind going in circles today.

Shake down, is one of two thing's.

A. Grabbing someones neck and wrestling them to the floor.
B. A trial run, usually after doing major changes to ones fast car. I think in this case the answer is (B)

Awwwwwww o.k that makes sense then totaly. So does anyone know what mods they had performed to the Civic before they ran it? I was very impressed by the numbers it put down and saw the nitrous bottle in the back and thought it probably has more in it as I heard they were not spraying.

The Civic is a 2.0L, 9.0:1 compression with Crower cams/valves/springs. It has a PT67mm .81 A/R T4 turbo on a full race manifold. Over the winter we changed it over from air/water intercooler to air/air, to meet the class rules of NHRA SFWD, along with fixing a bunch of small issues it had. It has only been run maybe 10 minutes before the open house day, and the owner wanted to show it off a bit. I didn't want to lean on it too hard, so we were at 25psi of boost and conservative timing. We have another 5-8psi of boost to go, along with the nitrous if we need it. We will be shooting for 700whp.

The yellow CRX did 645whp last year with a GT4076, and we upgraded it to a 71GTS over the winter. If not for a back ordered ignition box, we would have done some shakedowns on that one also.

I am glad the Ford boys could bring out Ray's race car. I know what a tough time of year it is to actually find race cars running, and we appreciated it! Seeing the dyno speed gauge go red at 200mph was cool, and the car sounded good.

Jeff's Civic was just awesome and it was so cool to finally get to see it in person. It was making me laugh when I heard that they were just shake down runs as the car was just making awesome power, but after talking to Jeff it sounds as though it's got quite a bit more left in her. I have no clue how you guys are going to get it going strait down the track without wheelie bars. Are they legal in that class?

It was a blast sitting 5 feet away from the Mustang as it hit the dyno and having my eyes start watering from the race gas fumes. It makes me wish that race season was here now.

It was an awesome even guys and thank you so much for the awesome food and opening your house up like that to a bunch of strangers.

I hope your insurance company does not see pics of all the people standing so close to the dyno with a car at 200mph.

I didnt realize how much I missed hanging out and bs'ing with the mustang ( well and truck) crowd... I cant wait for race season to begin and the damn rain to stop.
