Hey guys. My A/C recently stopped blowing cold and now only blows hot air. I popped the hood and turned on the A/C noticed the A/C pulley was not moving then started clicking every 5 seconds while the pulley spun for a millisecond. I'm wondering what this could be before I get screwed by FORD?
Thanks guys.

If the compressor is shutting on and off and blowing hot air,it most likely needs a recharge.

Yes. First you can try injecting a can of freon from the auto store.

Honestly it's best to take it to an AC shop. If you ran out of freon there is a leak somewhere, and refilling it with a recharge kit will only last so long before it all leaks out again...

Agreed. You can do a UV test yourself to try and find the leak, or you can just take it to someone.

The dryer is a pretty common culprit. Otherwise, likely a bad fitting or cracked line. I cracked a line once while working on something else under the hood. It really doesn't take much to damage them.

Thanks guys. Im just gonna take it to an A/C shop rather than Ford. I appreciate all your opinions.
