No i did'nt. anyways where can i get a vacuum to do that. can i have a link?

Also, Try jumpering the low pressure cutout switch on the accumulator you said how do i do that exactly and what will that do for me?

I am beginning to think you are in over your head...

My current vacuum pump is a refrigerator hermetic unit (motor & compressor in one unit). It was a freebe from a local used appliance store. I bolted it down to a piece of plywood & soldered a 1/4" flare fitting on the suction line. It works great, pulls 29" of vacuum in about 10 minutes or less. I have used it several times and have had excellent results.

Ok well i bypassed or jumpered the switch and the compressor engaged and it was on for like 10 seconds and i went in the car and still the same air. wen i went to put more refrigerant in the car when i took off the thing connected to the low pressure port for the a/c it went all over the place and came out and also what about that link for the vacuum pump?

So all i would have to do with this is hook it up to the LP Port and thats it?

I realized after i post this that i would need a air compressor to use this?

The vacuum pumps that use compressed air generally are poor performers compared to a refrigerator hermetic unit, real A/C service vacuum pump or even an air compressor rigged to work as a vacuum pump.

The refrigerator hermetic unit I got was FREE. I spent $1.75 for a brass flare fitting. The wood, electric power cord, and screws were stuff I had laying around the shop, but even if I had to go out and buy them, there was less than $12.00 worth of stuff.

Info to add my mechanic told me that the clutch engages if that helps at all.

Just put in some sealer and more freon. the compressor engages and turns for 2 secs then off then on then off then on.

still hot air?

checked for leaks.. dont see any.

Still sounds like a low system charge. As soon as the compressor kicks on, the low side is pulled down and the LPCS disengages the clutch. Looking with a set of manifold gauges will tell the story.

The gauges will read 25-40 PSI low side and 160-250 high side with a system with a full charge. Note that as the outside air temps increase the pressure readings increase.

If the compressor was engaging, the reading should not have been entirely static. Did compressor engage and the reading drop down to 30 PSI at it's lowest?

Does the compressor stay engaged for a decent period of time or does it still disengage right after engaging? When the compressor disengages, the low side pressure starts to go back up (I'm wondering if this was a cause of a misread/misinterpretation).
