I can not switch between max a/c, norm a/c, vent, floor, mix and defrost. Regardless of which selection i put it on, it goes to floor selection. It seems to be frozen there. the A/C works when its turned to cool, the heat works when it put to heat. any ideas?
There is a vacuum leak you need to hunt down. Likely in the engine bay somewhere but could be under the dash. Just follow lines from your HVAC box. Once you find the leak it will work again.
Most systems when there is no vacuum default to defrost. I would assume these cars are the same. If they are you either have a pinched vacuum hose or a bad control. An open or leaking vacuum hose on almost every car I've ever seen will make it move to defrost. Just my .02
i found the leak. the tube in the engine bay is shot and needs replacement. its the tube from the tree to the connector (the one that runs along the firewall) any ideas where I can get that line?
