Well I just found it interesting to see, that after a decade of it's completion, the 5.0L still draws a bigger crowd in terms of message board followers.

This 5.0 section is THE biggest on the whole forum!
That's incredible...
even the 94-95 specific is massive, and it's a two year period!
Insane...
it's good to be around so many good people.

I think its cool, but I also think that it is going to change as there are more and more 4.6 that are avail. to others to buy and mod. Not to mention the 99s are getting at a low now that there not the newest body style and best motor so prices are not as stable. The 5.0s that are out there are all thats left, while the 4.6 is still growing and getting better.

that being said, LONG LIVE THE PUSHROD and the legand of the 5.0. I dont see my car going down in value the same as some 99+.

5.0 have been around for so many years it's only natural to have more in the forums. Besides the 4.6's are just to pricy for me all though a blower on a 4.6 is pretty sweet. Long live the 5.0.

I am not selling it short at all, I am talking about the 99+ going down, I meant that mine is not going down in value like the 99+. I know freinds who cannot sell a 99-00 GT fully loaded for 11k, mine in worst case could get what my loan was for (after a big downpay) in 99+. We are lucky we have the newest body style with a 5.0 and it was only for 2 years, I am very proud of my blksn955.0.

I just wish it did look as nice as your, even if mine does look nice, yours is .

Well dont look at me I still think the 4.6 is a test to see if we have a sense of humor and they will bring back the 5.0 soon as its over.

Ok so little johnny asks his dad what was the diffence between potential and reality. His father said go ask your mom if she would fix the neihbor for 1 million dollars. she says yes. then his father says go ask your sister the same question she also says yes.
Well Johnny the father says We have the potential to make 2 million dollars. the realitly is that your mother and sister are \/\/h{}r]=s.

Now bring back the 5.0

I'd take a dohc 4.6 over my 5.0 any day of the week.
/flame suit on

*I'd rather take the FRPP 5.0L cammer over the 4.6 dohc though.

Sure, if you want to pay $1000 for cams. Oh, and the aftermarket heads are aweso.......Oh wait, there are none.

If you like sticking with what came with the factory & never upgrading, sure, the DOHC 4.6 is a great starting point.

BTW, I saw an article about the cammer motor, but I have no idea what it is. Is it a windsor motor, or a modular bored/stroked to a 5.0L displacement????

Who needs aftermarket heads? Just throw a blower on the bastard and let it breathe. *Actually you can get some FR500 heads, but I dont know if you consider that aftermarket.

Cammer >>http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=6787

Notice the price tag though.

Yes they do look nice, makes it look like a diff. car. I am thinking about getting 335 after the ssm bars are on . I need to lower it first though, looks kinda funny at some points of view.

In the new 5.0 (or MM&FF) they have a dohc head comparo, alot of realy good info. There is not any real need for aftermarket heads they flow close to or just over 300cfm preaty easy stock. However, no trq. at all down low.

I'd rather have the DOHC 4.6 over a 5.0 anyday too.

You think 1000 bucks for cams is expensive? Wait until you pay someone who knows what they're doing for a good valve job.
