Any one know how to take the a pillar weather stripping off an 03 vert i have the dreaded wistle and i am not going to the dealer so they can screw up my car i am going to do the tsb myself.
I think the left, right, and top (of the windshield) weatherstrips are all one piece. To access the retainers on the right or left side, you have to remove the corresponding inner garnish molding.
With the top down, look for a plastic push pin ("christmas tree") retainer along the top that holds the molding in place. Remove it with a putty knife with a groove cut in it, or some similar prying tool. Then you can pull the molding straighty back, starting at the top and working down to the top of the instrument panel. It is held in place by blind friction retainers. I've had mine off several times to run wires and add foam to reduce noise and fill gaps.
