Hey guys, does anyone know who makes an A pillar for 2 gauges that will fit 01-04 verts? All I can find are A pillars for coupes in those years. I was hoping to find the a pillar rather than dash mounted, any help is appreciated.

I was never able to find one. If you do, please post up and let everyone know because I will switch mine if I ever find one. I just used the dual pod and attached it to my pillar.

Do you have a pic of your gauge setup? I think I've decided on the Saleen style dash pod, but always lookin for a nice pillar setup.

I've never been to the track. I don't really have any around here. I'm a really sucky driver anyway, so I wouldn't do the KB crowd any justice.

I was not aware that there was any difference but on my gauges the gauge pod did not replace the stock pillar cover. I had to still use the factory pillar behind the new one. i had to drill 5 holes in the factory pillar cover in order to mount the new pillar on it. my gauge pod is an autometer. i know someone makes them because i have seen many verts with them.

It seems like the A-pillar gauge pod (full length) offered by "Speed of Sound" is starting to become a popular alternative to the typical Autometer or Lotek (Lotec ? ) A-pillar installations.

Here's a link to a recent thread over on SVTPerformance:

Just some food for thought...

www.gaugepods.com has them for verts. You can even get them in the Medium Parchment (tan) color.

I just found that gaugepods.com site about 45 minutes ago. I can't believe I never found that before! I asked if they had a dual gauge pillar though instead of the triple. I'll let you know what they say.

FWIW, in case anyone was wondering what the correct part number for Medium Parchment is (2001 Cobra), it is: M4JZ 19M547 1078H - matches up to the color on the A-pillar.

I really wanted to reply to this post a few days ago when I found it, but wasn't comfortable doing so. Speed of Sound is my company, and the gauge pillar is our first production product. We do a good bit of custom parts as well.

A procharger install on an 01 cobra vert led us to this design. We did not like any of the parts available at the time, so we made one by hand (it's the parchment one in my gallery). Made a few more on special request, then it just snowballed from there.

My part costs a little more than the others, but I can guarantee it's quality, fit, and finish surpass my competition by an enormous distance.

Thanks for the mention, it's really hard to avoid posts like this in fear of "spamming" the board I started on when I bought my stang in 02.

Thanks,

Alan
