A TwEECer alternative????

Was slumming around and fell upon this site....interesting stuff...Was wondering if anyone has any info on this system??? 479.00 for the unit and peripherals....

Looks interesting, ill have to read more into later. I would welcome anything that is a little more user friendly then the tweecer. I read on the corral, there wsa another tuning device coming out (i think made by superchips?), that was very user friendly, and easy to understand/change settings. But i think it was even more then the tweecer, ill try and find the thread.

If I'm looking at the same thing, the Sneec - IV, it only datalogs the inputs and outputs of your computer. This means that it will only let you look at what is happening in your computer. You can't change anything like the Tweecer.

Trueblue...good point....that must be where this come in....they must have to re-cal to your info.???

Yea hes right. I looked at it so quickly. It is only a dataloger.

I would like to say that to make the most common changes with the Tweecer,
it might not be as bad as you think.

I don't mean to make light of the fact that you will have to learn some things about how the pcm controls your car but, you can start with the basics without a lot of hassel.

When you start to make the driveability probs go away then you will have to dig around a bit on the sites for some more knowledge.

If one can learn about mods for power and then install them, it seems to me that would be enough ability to tune the car.

IMHO, the more one knows about how the car works, they will be better equipped to make mods for power.

It's not that bad guys. You pick up a few things at a time and pretty soon you begin to see the big picture.

Thanks guys...I just happen to fall upon that site....I been spending some time looking around at tunings aids and such, like the tweecer forum and such...
some dude sold an tweecer r/t last nite on Corral...brand new, not used, he sold it for 400.00.... Damn..i was #3 on the list but lost out....

Grady, i had a tweecer. Confusing for me IMO. I did do just the simple things, which were pretty simple. But i dont have a laptop, which made it alot harder cause i had to get my friends, which was like once every 2 weeks. So i guess you could say i didnt have much practice. I decided with my turbo setup to just get a chip burned by a pro and call it a day.

Rio, i recieved the cover. Wow it looks great, i may just clear coat it.. Thanks alot.

Jesse....no sweat on the cover...i ground some casting flash off it before i blasted it....
To bad you got rid of the tweecer...I scored a sweet laptop just for that..

www.eec-tuner.com had something. dont look like it had as many features but i believe the price was better.

I do understand where you are coming from about the laptop.

I had to think long and hard about the investment needed to tune before I made the decision to go that route.

The fact that you use forced induction does indeed make it a bit more involved to tune and you would have to consider things that I do not.

I would just go with JMS Chip and let them burn you a chip. I did that, and am very happy with the work they did.

I've owned the TwEECer then sold it to Jesse. I agree with him, leave the tuning up to a professional. Sure I could have spent time on the boards and figured it out but didn't have the time. I think the P.M.S. is the best unit out there besides a F.A.S.T. system. Lots of Yes/No question which makes it easy for the end user.

In my case, the TwEECer is good (AODE) because of the tranny settings.

Ive only messed with A/F, Fan settings, rev limiters, shift points, and oh yeah, I was able to change injectors w/o changing the MAF!

Anybody had any experiance with the J3 service port adapter from Moates.com. Only 60.00 for the chip and there are free tuning software links. I know you still have to buy a programmer but they are only around 150.00. Anybody??

I know a "tuner" that bought this unit and hated it. I don't remember why, but I metioned it to him that I was looking into one a while back and he told me not to waste my money. Sorry I can't provide more specifics, but I don't remember any.
