The stock AOD in my 93 GT has been increasingly difficult to shift thru the gear selections lately. Going from Park to OD, OD to reverse etc, etc takes a significant amount of force exerted to my shifter. When this problem developed, I also noticed that my selector would not guide into the "Drive" selection, so I have been keeping it in "OD" like I usually do anyways. The problem has since quickly progressed to where I am now unable to select any positions, as it is stuck, and unable to guide into any shift positions. I was pulling into my garage which is on a slight incline (which is when I experiance even more difficulty shifting) where I pulled in, yanked it into reverse, then slammed it back into OD (all with significant force to shift) and when I stopped I tried to put it in Park, but it would not go. I had to cut the ignition off while I was in OD as its impossible to get it into Park now. Afterward I tried jacking up the rear of the car (and after that the front also) to offset any incline/decline issues that may cause it but no luck, still wont guide thru the gears. I also used a whole can of WD40 spraying the tranny linkage and all the parts under where my shifter is, but still no resolve. After about half an hours worth fustration and anger I finally forced it into "park" (so that I can at least release my keys from being stuck in the ignition) on the shift "selector", but I do not believe that the tranny is actually "engaged" into park as it just now all of a sudden rolls back and forth as if it is in neutral. I have always had stick cars in the past, with this being my first auto trans, and I am completely unaware of any any quick fixes or what the issue may be. If anyone has any suggestions whatsoever I would greatly appreciate the help. Thank you very much in advance to all suggestions and/or advice.
