Estimating Friday for return to power. Insult to injury is, my neighbor to one side has power back, while those of us to his left still all out.
Good thing fuel is only $2 gallon right now!
This $600 generator I bought many years ago has more than paid for itself.

2/3 of my town is still without power , somehow we got lucky.
I posted a generator for sale last Saturday and sold it 9pm Tuesday night, just after the storm ended.
Had 7 more emails inquiring about it by Wed. morning, couldn't pull the ad fast enough.

Well the Friday estimate for power back has almost come and gone. Now they’re telling me 7:30pm tomorrow.
This generator is gonna need a nice oil change after this run!

I don’t know who makes these Champion generators, but I’ve had it for several years (since Irene, which I think was a year before Sandy) and it’s run great. It’s almost at 200 hours now. I keep it in a shed, as well as under a fabric cover made for it, and just minor surface rust here and there. Dual fuel of the newer ones would be nice, but I won’t complain!

If you use a generator once during and extended power outage imo it"s paid for itself.
We were out for 7 days after Sandy , if I never used my generator again ( which I have ) it would have been well worth it.
Glad you got your power back , some of CT still out until next week supposedly

That storm caused a tornado that hit Courtland VA near my farm ( didn't damage anything at my farm though ). My wife's home town in St. Mary's county MD got hit pretty hard. A bunch if flooding and 3? Tornados. Her family is ok.

Glad your power is back up man !!!

I hear you. My power outage was nothing compared to what they’re predicting for them down there! Stay safe everyone!
