I went to change out my original spark plugs today with some NGK TR6 plugs, but the threads on the TR6's are twice as long as the originals. I am S/C and I read that the TR6's are the plugs to get. Is anyone using these plugs and ran into the same problem? Are there any clearance issues with the pistons because the plugs are an extra 1/2" into the cylinders?

I had the same concerns as you and you might also notice the plug caps don't seem to fit very well over the plugs themselves. Don't worry, though, everything will turn-out and work just fine. Going to the TR6's was a good move in my opinion and I'm sure many people would agree.

I didn't pay all that much attention as far as comparing the stock plugs to the TR6's. My dyno shop suggested them along with the gap and I just swapped them out. Have 1,000 miles or so on the new plugs with some WOT runs and 10 psi + boost...no issues. Good plug so far!

hope you dont mind but id like to ask a question about the tr6's without jacking the thread..

Im having a misfire in my #5 cylinder which is a bad plug.. Now also I have purchased 42's,svt pump,maf..etc all for my boost upgrade.. im not sure if ill be doing those mods in the very near future but am i okay to install the TR6's in the meantime or should those just be installed on a s/c setup with them being a colder range plug?

Really only need to use those plugs on forced induction. If you aren't yet s/c'd, wait until you are.
