Autozone has 2 choices: Felpro w/o Sleeve "N" seal.
Or Felpro w/ Sleeve "N" seal.
What's the difference?
Also, do I have to buy a whole oil pan gasket to get that one piece for the front of the pan??
Thanks....

Unless your crank is damaged you do not need the sleeve and seal, it comes with the snubby pieces to replace the oil pan front section.

Probably stupid question, but, are you talking about noticeable obvious-while-you're-driving-it "damaged", or when I take the cover off, might I notice something that requires the sleeve and seal??
Thanks Rick

If it has a groove you need the sleeve, personally I've never used one.....

Just make sure it has the timing cover gasket, oil pan pieces, front oil seal, the water pump gasket, and thermo gasket...

I usually buy a Fel-Pro 2718 kit, known as a R.A.C.E kit. It has ll the above, plus a rear main seal, and some other small gaskets for just a few bucks more, much cheaper then if you bought them seperate.

You can probably get away without taking the Thermostat housing off. I swapped gaskets last winter and used the opportunity to install a new thermostat.

well, I picked up the Gasket set: timing cover, water pump(s), front seal, rubber seal for bottom of cover, 2 cork pieces, and mech fuel pump which I don't need...
Got new oil and the permatex red spray. Gotta make sure I have enough RTV, and an oil filter, new anti-freeze, and I should be good to go, right???
