My ABS light comes on every once and awhile when driving. Sometimes its on when I start the car, sometimes it comes on while driving and will shut off before I get to where I'm going, etc. etc. There is plenty of fluid and I dont know what else to do. The car was sitting for 2 years and I just got it running again. Oh... I still have a good brake pedal when the light is on also.....Thanks

see if you can go get the code pulled. could be lots of different things causing this problem.

no it's a different module. you need to have the abs module scanned

Mine did that after 3 days of rain. I'm guessing the sensor was covered with dirt, or the lines got wet. The light eventually went away.

When the ABS light is on the traction control cannot be turned on or if the traction control is on when the light comes on, the traction control automaticaly shuts off.

the traction control system is related to the abs, so if your abs has a fault and is deactivated so is your traction control.

Hey MP,

I had the same problem you're talking about and it turned that something had come up off the road and hit and bent my left front ABS sensor. I just gently tapped it back into it's original position and the light went away. Also I was noticing a little noise coming from the abs unit, like it was trying to activate. Hope your problem is as simple as that.

^^^^ a lot of times that is the cause of a abs light. first thing you do is scan for codes, then check for damage to the sensors and such
