My ac only blows from the defroster vents. I pulled the controls out to check for old hoses that I thought might be in need of replacement, but they look like they are in very good condition. I looked in the Chilton's manual but I don't see anything that tells me about anything other than the switch and the control that I think is located in the heater core area. Has anybody had any problems like this and how did you fix it if you did? Thanks for the help.

I hate to reply with "search button" but I have seebn this same problem on here before....
If I remeber right it has something to do with a vacuum line that runs from the tree along the backside on the intake manifold...never had the problem myself.
Seems to happen to alot of people and the fix is usually a simple splice...
hope that helps you out some...
good luck

I had this problem, it was a vacuum line along the firewall behind the intake

I fixed mine!, it ended up being a very small hard plastic vacuum line thats runs along the firewall from the passenger side to the drivers side vacuum tree. The vacuum tree is located on the drivers side by the firewall and the drivers side fender. Thanks Stangnet

+1 for that--the line is pretty small (about 1/8th or 1/4 of an inch, hard plastic) and runs across the firewall, behind the upper intake.
