AC problem

my ac started blowing out the defrost on top of the dash versus coming out of the vents. i was wondering if it works off vacuum or what. i was just wondering if anyone else had this happen and how you fixed it. by the way one more $160 payment and its finally payed off.

I have seen post regarding a small Black (1/8") hard vac line being a source of problems..It may have disconnected, is cracked or the end is leaking...It runs right along the firewall, just below the wiper cowl...


Here's a pic...See that Vac tree on the fenderwall...it feeds from there..Its the little mother ..3rd hose down from the top on the tree...
