Acetone is a polar solvent more similar to MEK or lacquer thinner than turpentine.
back in my race days some folks (not me of course) would add 2 ounces of an oxygen generator to 1 gallon of fuel and it would turn it into a rocket ship. You'd have to rejet the carb to keep from burning up the engine and it was undetectable by the fuel meter.
try looking for something with the last name of "oxide".
