Would an ACT sensor from Pep-boys work as well as an ACT sensor from Ford despite the Pep-Boys sensor being made of plastic? I got a ACT sensor Ford and the filament that measure the air temperature is not centered and is way off to the side.

I can't vouch for every aftermarket sensor out there however (comma) the one I installed from Autozone seems to work just fine. It's not a very complicate device and so long as the voltage range is correct, you'll be straight.

Autozone does sell Motorcraft parts as well which is the same as the Ford sensors. Either that or you can get the cheaper one from Autozone which is a no-name brand usually.

Autoparts brand are fine. New Ford one is like $40. I got a GP Sorenson from AdavnceAutoParts. Works fine.
