ADJ. FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR good idea?

Do you think an adjustable fuel pressure regulator is a good idea for me? Im going to take my car to a mechanic that specializes in mustangs to get my TPS fixed and to get it tuned best as possible. I was thinking of dropping $100 to get a fuel pressure regulator at the same time good idea? I also noticed I get bad gas mileage mabye this will help a bit?

1994 GT.
Lazer Red on Black. 58,000kms.
World's Windsor Jr. Heads
Ford Racing e303 cam
Aftermarket Pistons, rods, lifters etc...
Polished Cobra SVO Intake
Edlebrock 70mm TB
Flowmaster American Thunder Catback
BBK Headers
BBK Offroad H pipe
BBK Cold Air Intake
Eibach Pro Springs
Steeda Shifter
Slotted Front Discs
3.55 gears
18" Polished Cobra wheels
Clear Corners
FMS Wires

What do you people think? How are areomotive? which are a better regulator? Will a 86-93 5.0L one work on my 94 5.0? Or do I need a specific one for 94-95 or how do they work for our cars?

Yes, you need one. I have one from Maximum Motorsports but most guys run the Kirban.

i recommend it if you want to get a good tune. i have a bbk and i like it. like swingline said most guys on here run a Kirban. can be found at www.jdsperformance.com for $75 the bbk will run you around $100

keep them comin on the kirban. i know both have been known to give out, the bbk/paxton/(whatever else they stamp it as) have many more cases from what ive heard. messing with the fuel mixture is something you need to do once you start getting into the mods you have

An AFPR didn't help me. I put the stock one back on and I'm still running rich.
I just happened to start this thread and didn't notice this one at the time.

I had the diaphragm rupture on my first kirban, three hours after i got it. Went back and exchanged it and have had that one on for 3 weeks and it has been fine so far.

To answer your other question ... no you can't use a Fox body regulator on the SN95 rails. I don't exactly know why, you just can't.

I am gonna get the Kirban FP regulator in a week or so too.

True. Unfortunataly like so many other parts for our cars, these aftermarket pieces must be 94/95 specific. The Fox FPR's have 3 mounting bolts whereas the 94/95 regulators have only two mounting holes on the regulator itself. The Fox regulator will not fit properly.

ok so Kirban are good? I dont really care about price, I kinda wanna buy locally and I cant get Kirban...what are some other good ones? Or should I really get this Kirban is it that much better then the others?

also you guys really think i need one?

The Accel/Mr Gasket AFPR's are good units as well. From what I can see and have experienced I'd say you don't need one however the only real way to know is by hooking your car up to a wideband on a dyno to confirm this.

Yea, with all the stuff you've got on your car - yes. Are you still running the stock 19# injectors??

yes im still running stock injectors and stock MAF....im not going to add any more real power adding mods so I was thinkin the stock injectors would be fine for me?
