I know it is simple but I have never done it before and was wondering if there is a step by step for dummies write up out there somewhere, I just don't wanna screw anything up

Well it can be a you know what of a job. Are you doing the swap with the upper intake on and the fuel rails mounted to the lower intake? This will make it tougher. But anyway disconnect the vacuum line; then, there are 3 allen head screws that screw in from the bottom of the regulator mount on the fuel rail. Unscrew them, lift the stock regulator off the mount make sure the o-ring and gasket come off with it. Next grab new regulator make sure o-ring and gasket are attached place on mount. Thread allen screws in from bottom and tighten. Start engine, adjust fuel pressure to where you want it 36-40psi and then attach vacuum line.

I have been contemplating getting a polished, extrude hone upper intake lately to replace my dull factory Cobra unit, maybe it would be best to wait until I change the intake to put the regulator in then. Thanks man!
