Adjusting electric choke on Holley

My throttle blades are 3/4 of the way open on my 750 Holley when the car is cold. What do i do to adjust them to be almost closed?

Depends on the temperature, but yes you have the right idea. You'll probably end up adjusting it a few times befor it's perfect.

Mark where it is now, so you always have a reference point.

Depending on the temp that throttle blade should 3/4 closed if not more.

Do you have to manually hold the throttle wide open, then turn the choke to close the blades?

You don't have to, But it is a good idea to hold the throttle open at least half way.
It will allow the choke linkage to move freely and make setting to the right angle easier.
