thanks for any advice

Wow that's a mixture there...all decent stuff though. I would get the 2 12's because your sound will be much deeper and cleaner. a 10 IMO is just on the verge of being too small and the bass not being as clean. There are some good 10's out there and if you arepushed for space will work but 12's are better. I have 2 12's in my hatch and it only took up 2 inches of space.

2-10's will take up slightly more space and play slightly louder than 1-12. So depending on your budget, musical tastes and how you like to listen (loud or just normal) should determine which to go with. All the brands you've listed are great and the box design will influence the sound so make sure to have an installer build you one for your type of music. I will make 1 more suggestion to add to your list-the CVR series from Kicker. Absolutely the best bang for the buck sub I've ever found.

Soundstream amps-can't go wrong.
CDT-they sound awesome
both imho

That's a bit of a blanket statement, don't you think? In GENERAL, a pair of 10s would be lounder than a single 12, due to the increase in cone area. However, box size/style is going to have an effect, as well as power. And "cleanliness" of the sound isn't dependent on the size of the speaker, so much as the speaker's design. The accuracy and "tightness" of a speaker is often affected by the size, ie: a 10 will generally be a bit tighter and more accurate than a 12; however this is not always the case.

Well more specifically speaker of the 2 speakers being the same except size and both being used in the same application(box type size shape, etc) in the same way
