Hi all. I am pondering putting a 351c into my 67 mustang coupe. I have heard that this swap isn't too hard. Just need to get some different headers. Also, will the cleveland fit under the stock hood cause I would really like it to.

Here are the specs of the engine tell me what you guys think. Right now the engine is in a 84 t-bird.:

72 4 bolt block
Block milled .010
.030 dished pistons 9.5 comp.
stock rods, new bolts
stock crank, 10, 10
hyd, cam 510-536, 214-224 @.50, 112
Canton 8qt oil pan (Fresh lube job)
High volume oil pump
New water pump
New Alternator
Holley fuel pump
Rebuilt Holley 750 vac
73 open chamber 4V heads
Ferrea stainless steel valves, 2.19 intake 1.7 exhaust
Pocket ported with 3 angle valve job
all bronze guides
Crane springs, retainers and keepers
Crane adjustable rocker kit
Stock rockers with adjustable fulcrums
Heads milled .030
Wieand excelerator intake 4V (decked)
Headers w/ dual exhaust
C-6 trans, 3000 stall, shift kit
9" rear w/ 3.89 gears

Tell me if you guys think this would be a good project to undertake. Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure it will fit. There are guys with clevflands in 65-66s so I don't see why it wouldn't fit in yours.

it will fit just fine the intake might leave u real close to the hood though my torker intake with alot of drop base on the air cleaner just barely fit with my stock hood

It should fit under the hood without problems, 67-68's also came with FE big blocks and they fit. You'll need headers for a 70 with a Cleveland.

yep, that motor fits real nice in a 67-70 engine bay. like D said, get a set of headers for a 70 mustang with a 351c motor.
