Well with PATS it might be hard to steal the car. But what about the stuff in your car ??? I have had my car broken into for what is in it not to steal the whole car. Without an aftermarket alarms you have 0 protecftion for anything inside your car. Once you have a couple thousand dollars worth of things stolen from inside your car you will have an aftermarket alarm on your car too. I also swear by viper 6 years not a single issue, moved the same alarm brain into three different cars.

Example: One night when I parked on a side street near a bar, I saw this young punk at night walk by my truck and look in. I was across the street walking to my truck so I stopped and waited for him to do something stupid. It was obvious he was looking for something. He just peered into my passenger window and then walked away.

I had that happen while I was sitting in a cafe shop looking out the window at my car. I let the guy look in the window but then when he circled, came back and started looking suspicious I hit the panic button on the factory remote.
That solved my problem
