I say UPR Blu Thunder...made by the same guy that made the Pro 5.0 and Steeda Tri-ax but it's only ~130 bucks instead of 180. I've got two of them.

and either of these should go on, no problemo?

just asking because i really dont like the flimsy feeling i get from my shifter, and i need my car every day (night actually), so i avoid getting myself into projects that will down it for a while.

I have a Steeda Tri-Ax and I love it. However, I haven't used or felt any other shiftes, so... it's an easy install and very well worth it. It really increases the fun factor.

Ive shifted with both the steeda tri-ax and my pro 5.0... it might be because the tri-ax handle was mounted higher but mine felt MUCH smoother and his felt much more "mechanical"... i got my pro 5.0 for $90 new from my car club's forsale forum and I havent had ANY problems with it. MUCH better than the stock piece of junk.

LOL...Me and my buddy got bored in autoshop one day so we pulled my shifter and cut out a couple inches and re-welded her. Works fine for me. Its more of a "short" shifter than stock and it was free. Right now I feel that $100 should go into a more hp effect part thatn a shifter, but no doubt I will have one in the next couple monthes.

You realize that the real benefit of an aftermarket shifter is the stops that keep you from bending forks when shifting it hard right? The shorter handle is a small part of the upgrade.

BTW...I've drove the pro 5.0, tri-ax, and my blu thunder and I prefer the blu thunder.
